About: Jenny Rieger - Designer Bio

Landscape Designer Jenny Rieger has always had an inherent love for the outdoors.

What began as a simple childhood inclination to be outside hiking and camping has evolved into her life's work. As opportunities arose for Jenny to learn more about her natural environment, she eagerly took them from working as a young adult for her parents growing heirloom grapes for California wineries to becoming an ornamental horticulturist with an impressive and comprehensive knowledge of native plants.

Growing Columbine Landscaping into the flourishing business it is today came naturally to Jenny, but it also required much hard work and still demands continuing education. In addition to studying biology, art history and fine art at UC Santa Cruz; she recently completed UC Berkeley Extension's Landscape Architecture Program.

When not designing, planting, building, following-up on recent installs, etc.; Jenny switches gears. As a Certified Performance Driving Instructor, one of her favorite pastimes is training fellow exhilaration enthusiasts.
